video conferencing?

what are the most important parts i need for my comp...in order to have the best exp with vid conf...ex: hdd vc ram cpu..i mean what? like the most imporant connection too obviously right? cause i talk to my relatives in the philippines and they just got dsl so now we can talk and its a lot faster but what else can we do to our comp to get the best vid conf experiece as possible..at least fast movement quality im not too worried about..but that has something to do with your cam right not vidcard? its mostly jsut your internet connection thats the most important right?? please help..thanks
