Video conferencing 101? I bought two identical HP laptops so that my family and I can chat via video when I'm out of town. Both have built-in webcams. What’s next? I don’t recognize any of the preinstalled software as video-conferencing software? Do I need to download specific software to communicate between the two laptops? Is there a freeware or at least try-before-you-buy software that will do the trick? (Both have MS Office Ultimate and all the bells/whistles if that helps) |

You might use a third party solution. I know google, yahoo and msn all have IM tools. my fav is MSN messenger:

It has a ton of tools for video, Just make sure your drivers are installed and all else will fall into place.
the video tools are great.
Looking for a free system to hold video conferencing, at first for small number of person possibly 6. will eventually need to accomodate a much larger call in factor.
What company is best for video conferencing? do you find it easy to use and clear?
