Exam question, help needed please!!!?

So im doing an exam and ive tried looking for research everywhere and cannot find anything related to the question and my tutor has been a total idiot hes not provied us with any material so i dunno what to look for :S

the question is:

In a video conferencing system, compare the data rate requirements of:

.Speech
.Text
.Video
.Pictures

Hence rank these in terms of data rate from highest to lowest

Justify your answer with simple calculations

i dont undersatand what to explain and what calculations i have to make :S

please help and pleaaaase do not answer if you do not know, help would be much appreciated i need this asap. Thanks.
i am not sitting the exam right now, i am going over a past paper. i just simply need help or an answer or explanation for the question so that i can then work my way through it and know what to do for the real exam, so i have an idea of what to write. i am not cheating i just need help.

The amount of bandwidth they can consume is the biggest issue from your list. Most of these will continue to pass regardless of the actual bandwidth available. For example, you can still pass video and speech across a 56K modem line. The question isn't whether the traffic will pass, it will, the quality on the hand not so much. There is more to each of those than just data rate. If these are passing across WAN links latency can become more of issue than data rate. Either way the list would be highest to lowest.
