Can i install a Ubuntu on windows Vista? I wanna simultaneously use 2 skypes to talk with the R&D and another department by one PC. I have a laptop installed with Vista and I am now downloading the desktop version of Ubuntu. After the download is finished, can I install it to my vasta? If so, I boot the PC and i will get into vista and then click the icon to open Ubuntu under Vista, right? |

Okay - you can install Ubuntu to your hard disk. If you shrink your Vista partition to leave space (50GB) for Ubuntu - install Ubuntu there, it takes about 20 minutes.
Play around with it, get Virtualbox organised and then install XP on your Virtualbox. You can install TWO or THREE XP virtual machines and boot each one, on your Ubuntu desktop, in a separate window. If you have workspaces enabled (4 workspaces for a cube - but you can have more) then you can have desktop 1 Ubuntu, 2=XP1 3=XP2 and one spare.
Now in each XP machine, you can load skype and run it.
Is that more like it?
Look here for an idea of how it would look (12 months ago): http://files.getdropbox.com/u/446031/cube.jpg
